QUALIFICATIONS
All applicants must possess PhD or equivalent professional qualification in their respective fields. Interested applicants for Dentistry must possess a basic degree in dentistry recognized by the MDC, applicants must have 5 years teaching experience in an academic institution after obtaining the postgraduate degree.

Scholarships for International Students

Swansea University’s School of Arts has 11 Scholarships for International (non-EU) Students
For the session 2009-10, Swansea University’s School of Arts has 11 Scholarships for International (non-EU) Students, each worth £1000, to be awarded to applicants intending to pursue Masters’ work on designated schemes within the School.

The selected schemes all have proven records of recruitment among international students. They are:

  • MA in Creative and Media Writing    3 scholarships
  • MA in Translation with Language Technology 3 scholarships
  • MA in TEFL      3 scholarships
  • MA in Gender and Culture    1 scholarship
  • MA in Comparative Journalism   1 scholarship

Orin B. and Emma G. Graf Study Abroad Scholarship

The School of Art Scholarship/Honors Committee is accepting proposals for Study Abroad Scholarships to extend academic studies outside of the United States. (applicants seeking funding to support travel for research or creative activity should complete the travel scholarship application, and those seeking funding for residency should complete the residency scholarship application.)
This is an online application that will be submitted to directly to the scholarship committee. You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting indicating your application has been uploaded. After submitting, you will be prompted to print out a copy of your application for your records (images will not print out). Please read the application through prior to completing to be made aware of all the needed information.
DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted through the online form by Friday, March 27th at 5:00 p.m.

AMOUNT: Amount available – up to $2700
(this can be awarded as a single award or divided among applications, therefore it is important that you provide all of the needed information.)

REQUIREMENTS:The selection criteria factors the student’s GPA and the quality of the study abroad program. All credit-granting institutions with study abroad programs (including UT) are considered. Recipients must be enrolled, full-time at U.T. the semester after they return. Incomplete applications WILL NOT be considered.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be undergraduate majors in Art History, Graphic Design, or Studio Art or graduate majors in Graphic Design or Studio Art. Undergraduate majors must have completed 18 credit hours at U.T. before the study abroad comences.

AWARD NOTIFICATION: Recipient(s) of the 2009 Study Abroad Scholarships will be notified by Friday, April 10, via email. Winners will also be listed outside the School of Art office and on the scholarship page of the School of Art website.
