Fine Arts/Visual Arts Scholarship Information for Incoming Freshmen
Fine Arts Scholarships for Visual Arts are awarded to incoming freshmen when available on the basis of portfolio and other criteria review. When submitting work in a portfolio:

• contact Visual Arts faculty to obtain approval for portfolio review and schedule delivery;
• submit only your very best work (10 to 20 examples);
• submit only clean, unwrinkled work;
• submit works on paper matted, if possible;
• drawings or paintings done from actual objects or people are preferable to those done from photographs or cartoons;
• 3-dimensional work may be submitted in the form of slides or photos; and
• noting the level or class on the artwork is helpful.

The portfolio will be reviewed by Visual Arts faculty, who will then make their recommendations to the Chairman of the Department of Fine Arts. Please note that scholarships are limited to available funding and cannot be officially awarded until the student has applied to and been accepted by the University.
