WorldStudio AIGA Art Scholarships

Organization Name: Worldstudio AIGA
Description: Worldstudio AIGA annually provides art scholarships for minority and economically disadvantaged students who are studying the design/arts disciplines in colleges and universities in the United States. The scholarship committee aims to increase diversity in creative professions and foster a feeling of social and environmental responsibility among artists. Recipients are therefore selected not only on the basis of their need and talent, but also on their demonstrated commitment to give back to the community through their work. Scholarships range from $2,000, up to a grand prize of $6,000. Honorable mention prizes of $200 are also allocated. Awards are paid directly to your school to be applied to tuition.

Award is Open to: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, enrolled (or planning to enroll) in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in the fine or commercial arts, design or architecture. Minority status is a significant factor for the committee. Student must also have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and demonstrated financial need.
