Miami International University of Art & Design is one of The Art Institutes, with more than 40 education institutions located throughout North America, providing an important source of design, media arts, fashion and culinary professionals.

Established in 1965, Miami International University of Art & Design presently offers the following programs and degrees in the applied arts:

Associate of Arts:
Fashion Design | Fashion Merchandising | Accessory Design Home Furnishing Merchandising

Bachelor of Arts:
Advertising | Fashion Merchandising | Web Design & Interactive Media

Bachelor of Fine Arts:
Computer Animation | Film & Digital Production | Graphic Design Interior Design | Visual Effects & Motion Graphics | Visual & Entertainment Arts

Master of Fine Arts:
Computer Animation (also online) | Film | Graphic Design (also online) Interior Design | Visual Arts


Financial aid:
Students may qualify for scholarships or financial assistance as result of academic achievement, religious affiliation, ethnic or racial heritage, community leadership or activities, or membership in certain clubs or organizations.
- The Art Institutes Scholarship Competition
High school seniors and international students may compete in The Art Institutes Scholarship Competition. Scholarship awards are based on the quality of projects submitted by students
- Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) Skills USA Championship
Students who belong to VICA may compete in local, state, and national championships. Winners at the national level are awarded a variety of scholarships. Full-tuition, two-year scholarships are awarded to first-place winners of the culinary, advertising design, and photography fields. Half-tuition, two-year scholarships will be awarded to first-place winners of the 3-D imaging/animation and the video production fields.
- National Art Honor Society Scholarship
High school seniors who also belong to the National Art Honor Society may apply for an Art Institutes National Art Honor Society Scholarship. There will be one full-tuition, two-year scholarship and two half-tuition, two-year scholarships awarded.
- Scholastics Arts Competition
One full-tuition, two-year scholarship and two half-tuition, two-year scholarships will be awarded by The Art Institutes for selected winners of the Scholastics Arts Competition. Art Institutes awards will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis to Scholastics winners.
- Technology Student Association Competition
Members of the Technical Student Association who win first place at the national championships in the high school category of Cyberspace Pursuit and Imaging Technology may be eligible for an Art Institutes scholarship.
- New York City Public Schools Scholarship Competition
- Evelyn Keedy Memorial Scholarship
- Passion for Fashion
- The Miami International University of Art & Design Merit Award
